Connected to Mwezi Boutique Resort, La Luna Suite Apartments are positioned within a tropical garden which cradles two air-conditioned Garden Rooms, six Pool View Rooms and 20 self-catering air-conditioned Suite Apartments that sleep up to four people and overlook a large pool at the centre of the property. Guests spending their Zanzibar holiday at La Luna Suite Apartments are welcome to enjoy the services and facilities offered at Mwezi Boutique Resort, with both properties linked via a short walk.

Mwezi Restaurant, Bar & Lounge
The menu is based mainly on products at km zero. All raw materials are bought from local farmers and producers, to support local agriculture and rural economy.
We buy fresh fish caught in the morning by the fishermen from the nearby village, and we use only seasonal fruit, mostly from our own orchard, in order to guarantee its freshness.
Breakfast, international style, included in the price, is served in the charming terrace loft of our restaurant, so that you can start your day treating your senses to the spectacular and restful scenery.
Experience
Pools
Mwezis’ pool and adjacent pool bar, integrates perfectly into the natural landscape, creating an oasis of wellness and relaxation. Pool water is pumped up directly from a well of salt water allowing us to reduce the consumption of fresh water. Shaded by more than 100 coconut trees and dotted with a range of fruit trees and tropical plants the pool perfectly integrates within the environment.
La Luna’s pool is situated in the middle of the property amongst an abundance of coconut trees and tropical plants and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around. With the pools close proximity to all suites, guests will find it easy to duck in to their suite for refreshments or alternatively order food and drinks with Mwezi’s attentive staff.
Excursions
At Mwezi, in addition to the popular island excursions, we organise guided tours through the local village of Jambiani. The village has remained relatively untouched by mass tourism and here you can still experience authentic Zanzibar. You will get to know a Zanzibar full of a rich history and fascinating legends worth knowing – and all through direct contact with the locals and their traditional customs.
Boutique
Inside Mwezi Boutique Resort you will find a lovely shop full of artistic objects, pieces of furniture, clothing, local products and gifts, all made by Zanzibarian and Tanzanian non-profit, social utility organisations. Bringing back souvenirs and knowing you have contributed to the sustenance of the community will add even more value to them.

I stayed at Mwezi Boutique Resort for one week and it was a truly wonderful experience. Beautiful place, great atmosphere, and a feeling of peace from the very first day. The resort is fantastic and very well located. Nearby there are water sports centers where you can easily practice kitesurfing and wingfoil, and during this season the wind conditions are excellent. Everything was perfect: the setting, the vibe, and the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing yet active holiday in Zanzibar.

We had a wonderful time at the Mwezi Boutique Resort. The place is amazing, with access to the beach and 2 amazing pools. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us with any questions we had. They also helped us get some medicines from the nearby pharmacy in record time. Staff are friendly and welcome you with a big smile. We had an amazing time in Zanzibar and Mwezi played a big part in our positive experience in the island.

We had a wonderful week’s stay at the Mwezi Hotel. The location was ideal and the accommodation very comfortable, overlooking a large swimming pool. A nice touch was the themed Wednesday evening. A big thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome. We’ll be back! 🙂

“Fantastic Accommodation” – March 2026
This accommodation is simply fantastic, the pool area is full of beautiful palm trees, the pools were cleaned every morning, it was always clean. Staff is kind and helpful. Mara, the manager, was always there to help us, she solved any problem we had. There were also monkeys in the garden. It is beautifully lit up at night. On our wedding anniversary, we even received a surprise in our room, an extra massage and a cocktail as a gift. If I were to come to Zanzibar next time, I would definitely come here again.

“4 days in paradise” – February 2026
A beautiful resort surrounded by lush greenery, birds and monkeys. Two lovely swimming pools and direct access to the beach. A great bar and restaurant, and a really fun Wednesday night with entertainment. Lots of French-speaking guests at the hotel. The staff are lovely.

We spent a week at this wonderful resort. As soon as we entered, we were captivated by the atmosphere, the colors, and the scents, and we fell in love with it. The staff was fantastic, always smiling, kind, and available for every need. Mara, who is always there to pamper and support you, pampers you. The food was delicious, from breakfast to dinner. It was our first time in Zanzibar, and we’re already planning our return. You guys are a great team!

The place is very peaceful. The green spaces are magnificent. Very well maintained. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The beach is very beautiful. It’s a perfect place to relax.
The hotel management is also very accommodating. Our flight was very late in the evening. We were given the opportunity to stay and enjoy the facility all day.
The restaurant is excellent. The pool near the beach is fantastic!
