Connected to Mwezi Boutique Resort, La Luna Suite Apartments are positioned within a tropical garden which cradles two air-conditioned Garden Rooms, six Pool View Rooms and 20 self-catering air-conditioned Suite Apartments that sleep up to four people and overlook a large pool at the centre of the property. Guests spending their Zanzibar holiday at La Luna Suite Apartments are welcome to enjoy the services and facilities offered at Mwezi Boutique Resort, with both properties linked via a short walk.

Mwezi Restaurant, Bar & Lounge
The menu is based mainly on products at km zero. All raw materials are bought from local farmers and producers, to support local agriculture and rural economy.
We buy fresh fish caught in the morning by the fishermen from the nearby village, and we use only seasonal fruit, mostly from our own orchard, in order to guarantee its freshness.
Breakfast, international style, included in the price, is served in the charming terrace loft of our restaurant, so that you can start your day treating your senses to the spectacular and restful scenery.

Pools
Mwezis’ pool and adjacent pool bar, integrates perfectly into the natural landscape, creating an oasis of wellness and relaxation. Pool water is pumped up directly from a well of salt water allowing us to reduce the consumption of fresh water. Shaded by more than 100 coconut trees and dotted with a range of fruit trees and tropical plants the pool perfectly integrates within the environment.
La Luna’s pool is situated in the middle of the property amongst an abundance of coconut trees and tropical plants and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around. With the pools close proximity to all suites, guests will find it easy to duck in to their suite for refreshments or alternatively order food and drinks with Mwezi’s attentive staff.
Excursions
At Mwezi, in addition to the popular island excursions, we organise guided tours through the local village of Jambiani. The village has remained relatively untouched by mass tourism and here you can still experience authentic Zanzibar. You will get to know a Zanzibar full of a rich history and fascinating legends worth knowing – and all through direct contact with the locals and their traditional customs.
Boutique
Inside Mwezi Boutique Resort you will find a lovely shop full of artistic objects, pieces of furniture, clothing, local products and gifts, all made by Zanzibarian and Tanzanian non-profit, social utility organisations. Bringing back souvenirs and knowing you have contributed to the sustenance of the community will add even more value to them.

“Excellent accommodation ideal for relaxation” – September 2024
Delicious breakfast (la carte + buffet). The bungalows are super clean and well equipped. The accommodation has two swimming pools, very nice, large and clean. Very attentive and friendly staff. First sea line, the hotel connects directly to the beach, excellent location.

“A little paradise” – September 2024
Beautiful facility, with two superb pools. The common areas and the gardens are very well kept. Right on jambiani beach. Forget about shoes because you do everything with bare feet. Excellent Italian-style restaurant. Applause to Luca, the restaurant manager, who cares that everything is perfect. Excellent and plentiful breakfast. A little paradise. -

“This place is paradise” – July 2024
Probably our best trip! This place is paradise. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and full of genuine smiles. You are surrounded by banana trees and rich vegetation and the food is absolutely delicious and the entertainment is wonderful. Nothing bad to say about this place our stay was perfect. If you’re looking for a relaxing trip in Paradise this is the place to go. Special shout out to the manager who is super awesome and cool 😎 !!!

“Amazing” – August 2024
The setting is really beautiful, everything is set up for the comfort of the customer. The meals were delicious, they have theme nights, it’s really nice. Special mention to the employees, they were all really lovely and took the time to chat with us and were really caring, felt really like family. I have stayed in 3 hotels in Zanzibar but the Mwezi was really my favourite given the quality and friendliness of the staff. Thanks again to all the staff, they will stay engraved in our hearts.

“Magnificent hotel with its feet in the sand” – September 2024
Breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice. The meals are delicious. We appreciated that the chef came up to the restaurant one evening 😃👍The rooms are spacious, very clean and well decorated. The pool is very pleasant, family atmosphere. Ndende, set us on fire at the pool with her incredible wiggle and her cocktails 😍 Thanks again to Jessica for helping us find our suitcases 😅 Thanks to Ali Nicho for her smile and impeccable French (our little guide to Stone Town was very nice) 😄 I don’t have the first names of the restaurant staff, but you were all super pleasant and smiling 🥰 We enjoyed the magnificent Jambiani beach but indeed, the water withdraws very far 😅 The colobus monkeys were there on the first day to welcome us but we didn’t see them again the following days, was it exceptional, in any case, it was a lovely surprise 😍 With our feet in the sand, we immediately felt on holiday in this magnificent hotel 😁

“Fantastic boutique hotel with a great pool and chic beach” – August 2024
The hotel is a fantastic boutique hotel in a great beach location, with a super nice facility (we loved that there is sand in the complex as well – barefoot all day 😎) and a great pool with pleasant, nice service / beach bar. The villas are very charming, airy and chic. The restaurant was delicious, varied and inexpensive (compared to Europe). The staff is warm, helpful and just great. Great show on Wednesday night 🤩 with Swahili buffet. The beach and the sea are also very nice, especially in the morning the sunrises. Everyone is on the beach in the evening: locals and tourists and enjoy the day’s entertainment. We were more than satisfied. Wonderful!

Very nicely built resort with a lot of space to move around and find your private area. Everything well maintained. Very friendly staff. Food was also very good and we enjoyed many dinners here. Special thanks to manager Luca who found us room although place was sold out.

“Good stay but uncomfortable beds” – September 2024
The location is great, quiet with the beach in front, but the village is not far. We loved the pools. Very good local show on Wednesday night. Very good breakfast, the avocados toast super. We stayed in the lodges at Luna. We enjoyed the kitchenette.
