Connected to Mwezi Boutique Resort, La Luna Suite Apartments are positioned within a tropical garden which cradles two air-conditioned Garden Rooms, six Pool View Rooms and 20 self-catering air-conditioned Suite Apartments that sleep up to four people and overlook a large pool at the centre of the property. Mwezi Restaurant, Bar & Lounge
The menu is based mainly on products at km zero. All raw materials are bought from local farmers and producers, to support local agriculture and rural economy.
We buy fresh fish caught in the morning by the fishermen from the nearby village, and we use only seasonal fruit, mostly from our own orchard, in order to guarantee its freshness.
Breakfast, international style, included in the price, is served in the charming terrace loft of our restaurant, so that you can start your day treating your senses to the spectacular and restful scenery.

Pools
Mwezis’ pool and adjacent pool bar, integrates perfectly into the natural landscape, creating an oasis of wellness and relaxation. Pool water is pumped up directly from a well of salt water allowing us to reduce the consumption of fresh water. Shaded by more than 100 coconut trees and dotted with a range of fruit trees and tropical plants the pool perfectly integrates within the environment.
La Luna’s pool is situated in the middle of the property amongst an abundance of coconut trees and tropical plants and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around. With the pools close proximity to all suites, guests will find it easy to duck in to their suite for refreshments or alternatively order food and drinks with Mwezi’s attentive staff.
Excursions
At Mwezi, in addition to the popular island excursions, we organise guided tours through the local village of Jambiani. The village has remained relatively untouched by mass tourism and here you can still experience authentic Zanzibar. You will get to know a Zanzibar full of a rich history and fascinating legends worth knowing – and all through direct contact with the locals and their traditional customs.

Inside Mwezi Boutique Resort you will find a lovely shop full of artistic objects, pieces of furniture, clothing, local products and gifts, all made by Zanzibarian and Tanzanian non-profit, social utility organisations. Bringing back souvenirs and knowing you have contributed to the sustenance of the community will add even more value to them.

Superb establishment. Everything is done to make you feel good. We stayed on the La Luna part, in wooden bungalows, very clean and comfortable. Everything is very well thought out and practical. You are by the pool, feet in very soft sand. The staff is extremely kind. Always a smile and a nice little word. The service is perfect. From the reception from the 1st day until our departure, everything was done to satisfy us. The catering is also excellent, very rich breakfast and really good, there is something for everyone and the restaurant menu is varied with the little extra of the day. We made this trip for my 60s and we spent 8 nights there and we really don’t regret the choice of this property. You can go there with confidence.

“A calm and relaxing atmosphere, with professional and helpful staff” – March 2024
From the check in to the check out everything was professionally handled. The staff was really friendly and helpful. One in our company has celiac disease, and needed glutefree food. The hotel provided this with no questions. The rooms were really clean, and was made two times each day. The pool was clean and fresh , and the environment was calm and nice. I would like to stay at this hotel again!

Rooms are very good, staff is superb. This hotel is 4 stars. We stayed in La Luna and the rooms are netter than in the pictures. The architecture is very nice. You can arrange lot of excursions in reception desk. If you need a taxi or prepare a tryp ask in reception and they will help you.
Food is very good. We even saw the red monkey inside the resort :) -

“Amazing Place” – May 2024
We stayed at a bungalow next door, but we spent so much time here laying by the pool, enjoying the beach, and eating AMAZING food! We came from Arusha, and it was such an amazing weekend getaway. This goes without saying, the staff here is incredible. Nadia, Harrison, Frederick, and Luca all made this an amazing place. We did not want to leave and I can’t wait to come back. When I tell you, the food is so fresh and clean. No stomach issues. 100% recommend to anyone! I’d even stay here alone, very safe. Incredible!

“A paradise” – April 2024
The room was amazing, super comfortable bed, despite being on the beach it was spotless clean! The hotel facilities were perfect, the temperature pool was ideal and some cocktails were very well prepared!!!! Absolutely wonderful and friendly staff and aware of everything.
