Our modern air-conditioned kitchen, serves up a world-class menu adored by foodies, gourmets—anyone who likes to eat.
All meals are included with your stay and include a range of cuisines inspired by European, African, and Asian dishes. Ingredients and produce are sourced locally for freshness and quality. Bottled water and hot drink are complimentary, however soft drinks, spirits, cocktails, vintage wines, champagnes and fine Cuban cigars come at an additional cost.

Experience
Pools & Garden
It’s hard to say what’s the best thing about the grounds that surround Qambani: the splendid pools for endless afternoons in the water, the exotic gardens with palms and sunbirds – planted by one of East Africa’s best gardeners – or the Indian Oceans’ craggy coral edge with seaviews splashed all the way along the front.
A little stroll down through the grounds takes you to five wooden steps and the shore. From June to November, a miles-long white sand beach curls around the headland. From December to May, a smaller beach is no more than ten minutes walk away on the coral at low tide.
Livingroom
Room is an understatement: over forty wooden louvre doors open all sides to terraces and sunlight. At its heart, vast spreading sofas frame a giant timber table strewn with curiosities and bowls of shells.
Not at all party shy, this extensive room has a fully equipped bar at the eastern end, and there’s a serious sound system throughout. There’s also a different chair in which to read every chapter of your book.
Dining
You can feast and entertain all over this generous property. The master table can be elegantly laid in the timber dining room, with louvre doors that open three whole sides to the air and light.
Outside in the grounds, you can go poolside with a barbecue, or lounge on the main terrace in the softness of the evening. Or peel off at dusk to the sundowner rooftop, right on the ocean’s edge.
Movies & Gym
Retreat from the tyranny of unlimited watersports to some indoor entertainment. A cosy room cum study is set back from the main sitting room, with a large HD TV with satellite channels, a selection of DVDs, and nice comfy sofas.
The next room off the courtyard is a small gym, with bicycle and rowing machines, free weights and mirrors. Like the rest of the house, it has a wi-fi connection and state of the art Sonos wireless sound system.
Water Sports & Island Activities
At Qambani, we can arrange a variety of water sports activities such as snorkelling, diving, kiteboarding, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking.
Alternatively, we also offer a range of tours and excursions from dhow trips, sand bank picnics to spice and Stone Town tours. All Zanzibar-based activities and excursions with our recommended partners are easily arranged on-site during your stay.

Qambani is, without a doubt, the best hotel we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty, privacy, and sheer magic of this place.
The setting is breathtaking — peaceful, secluded, and luxurious in every detail. The staff were absolutely exceptional: warm, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make us feel special. Every moment felt personal and thoughtfully curated.
The food was out of this world — fresh, creative, and beautifully presented at every meal. We felt so spoiled and well looked after throughout our stay.
The team truly went above and beyond to make our time at Qambani unforgettable, and we left feeling completely recharged and full of gratitude. Special shout out to Dainess and Atu who planned everything for us so meticulously. This was a truly special part of our honeymoon, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

“A true 5-star experience in every way” – July 2024
My wife and I just returned from a 5-night stay at Qambani and to put it simply — we didn’t want to leave.
The resort itself is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of modern luxury and authentic African architectural charm. Every detail, from the rooms to the pool areas, feels carefully designed to offer comfort without ever sacrificing character. All the modern amenities you’d expect from a 5-star resort are there, but wrapped in style that makes you feel like you’re truly somewhere special.
The staff were nothing short of amazing — warm, welcoming, always smiling, and their level of English and communication made everything so easy. Their positivity was genuinely infectious and added to the atmosphere more than words can say.
The food was another highlight — beautifully prepared, varied, and always delicious. We would’ve personally enjoyed a bit more spice here and there, but that’s just our palate talking. What we loved most was the balance: local Zanzibari dishes and fresh seafood alongside international classics that made us feel at home. Every meal felt like a treat.
The grounds are magical. Qambani feels like a hidden sanctuary, with a private beach that stretches for what feels like miles. The tides change dramatically throughout the day, creating an ever-evolving backdrop that’s breathtaking. Watching local villagers walking the low-tide beach plains added a peaceful, authentic rhythm to each day. It’s one of those rare places where time slows down — and you want it to.
We came to Zanzibar aware it isn’t a cheap destination — and honestly, we had a few reservations about whether it would all be worth it. But Qambani blew us away. This isn’t a place trading on hype or glossy Instagram shots — it’s all substance. A true 5-star experience in every way. We left without a single complaint.

“The food was absolutely AMAZING.” – July 2025
This place is truly a paradise! We stayed at Qambani to wrap up our two-week anniversary trip in Tanzania, and it was the perfect ending.
As soon as we arrived, I was amazed by the beautifully landscaped garden at the entrance and the stunning view of the ocean. We stayed in the Coastal Room, which was tastefully decorated, extremely clean, and spacious—you have an entire villa to yourself!
There are three pools on the property, and we especially loved the main pool overlooking the ocean. I particularly enjoyed watching the Eastern Golden Weavers visit the pool throughout the day.
The food was absolutely AMAZING. The chef and the team are incredibly talented—I had the best butternut squash risotto of my life here! I live in NYC and have dined at many Italian restaurants, including Michelin-starred ones, but the risotto I had at Qambani was perfectly balanced and seasoned—truly the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast was also delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with fresh fruits and local ingredients.
On our last night, they surprised us with an anniversary cake! It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more memorable.
I also had a spa treatment right in front of our villa. It was a perfect time to relax while listening to the soothing sound of the ocean.
Every staff member was friendly and attentive, which made our stay feel warm and personal. My only suggestion would be to have name tags for the staff, as I kept forgetting the names of the lovely people we interacted with.
The property is serene and peaceful—far from the busier parts of Zanzibar like Nungwi and Kendwa, where you’re constantly approached by “beach boys”. Here, you can enjoy uninterrupted tranquility.
You’ll witness breathtaking sunsets every day and have fun exploring the ocean at low tide. Qambani is a hidden gem and a truly unforgettable experience.

“An oasis overlooking the Indian Ocean where you will be welcomed with a warm smile” – July 2025
Everything about Qambani Luxury Resort was perfect-we loved it. The hotel is a beautiful oasis overlooking the Indian Ocean. The decor in the main area and in the villa is gorgeous: relaxed elegance. The infinity pool is lovely as is the surrounding pool area. The food is top quality and delicious, and if something on the menu doesn’t suit you they will gladly amend things for you. We did some day trips in Zanzibar and the hotel arranged them for us. While the hotel itself and its facilities are top notch, it is the staff that makes this place special. The staff we met from housekeeping, gardeners, waiting staff, pool area staff, to the supervisors we dealt with, each and everyone was helpful, polite, professional and exceptionally warm and friendly. Their attention to detail is excellent and they welcome you with a warm smile. We also had a bit of fun with them too-they have great personalties. We spent a week here (after a weeks safari) and we really were sad to leave. If it’s some relaxation you want in a small luxury resort that is not stuffy but full of smiles and warmth, look no further. I would recommend this resort in a heartbeat. Thankyou for such a lovely stay.

“It feels like you have the whole place to yourself” – October 2024
The Qambani Hotel is incredibly beautiful and very exclusive. It feels like you have the whole place to yourself. The food was very good and varied. The staff was always friendly, but could speak English a little better. To our surprise, we received a romantic dinner setup that exceeded all of our expectations of the hotel. We can only warmly recommend this hotel, it is unique and left nothing to be desired for our honeymoon.

“What an amazing place!” – February 2025
After 6 days on safari we wanted to rest in Zanzibar and chose to stay at the Qambani resort for 4 days. We wished we had stayed longer! The place is magical! The lounge area, the pools, our house (Plantation), everything was gorgeous and spacious! You’re never in other people’s bubbles. And what can I say about the extremely relaxing atmosphere. Except for a little music from time to time, no noise, no shouts, just the sound of the waves… Heaven! As to the food, it was very good with a tendency to be a bit rich and portions are huge! Don’t hesitate to ask for less or customise the options. Another plus for a shelling enthusiast like myself, the beach at low tide is incredible. I spent at least 30 minutes every day to find new shells. The only thing that saddened me was the plastic pollution of the area. I wish I could go back to clean the beach every day! Finally, I’d like to say that service was amazing, everybody was so kind and helpful, and you made us really feel that we were home. We really hope to be back soon!
