The Loop, a beach front resort located right in the heart of Jambiani village, adjoins a fine white sand beach that extends north and south for kilometers. Our four room types make up a total of 18 contemporary, elegant rooms; with the Standard, Superior and Suite with Sea View rooms all featuring an outdoor veranda where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served upon request.

Jambiani offers that rare and gorgeous fine white coral sand. On a Zanzibar holiday, guests can use the low-tide hours for exploring or sun bathing, while high-tide provides the ultimate in kiteboarding, kayaking, sailing with catamarans or a boat trip out to snorkel the reef. You’ll stand in amazement of the Indian Ocean’s crystalline waters—an environment of refined simplicity and the quintessential tropical paradise.

Beach Standard Room

Our eight Standard Rooms all feature outdoor verandas with chairs and a sofa that look out over the pool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is always available upon request. You’ll find the rooms are perfect for couples, each with a single king size bed and en-suite bathroom and a ceiling fan for added ventilation.

Beach Superior Room

Our six Beach Superior Rooms provide a larger floorspace than the Standard Rooms and include a king size bed with two sofa beds to accommodate up to four people. All feature outdoor verandas with chairs and a sofa that look out over the pool and where breakfast, lunch and dinner is available at your leisure.

Restaurant & Bar

The restaurant is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll enjoy an a la carte menu sprinkled with a range of cuisines—everything from Swahili and Italian to Middle Eastern dishes. Our ingredients are sourced locally with fresh sea food supplied everyday from local fishermen. The bar is designed and built with a blend of contemporary and recycled materials, an ideal place to start a day with breakfast, or to relax and socialize after a day at the beach or on the sea. Guests watch soccer, rugby or Formula 1 GP on satellite TV, or listen to music while tasting our local and international cocktails, beers, wine, and delicious tropical fruit juices.

The Loops pool, is situated in the middle of the property and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around – with plenty of sun loungers located around the pool. Order drinks at our bar and have our team bring a cold beverage to you whilst relaxing and looking out over the Indian Ocean.

The lounge is a cozy space to escape to, situated under a large makuti roof and next to the bar and restaurant. The sofas are made of recycled pallets and the tables are made from old wooden electric rolls.

Water Sports

During a holiday at The Loop, guests can take up plenty of vigorous activities at our Water Sports Center, including kite surfing, sailing and wind surfing. We offer classes and the latest generation of equipment. Rent a variety of equipment: kayaks, catamarans for mini cruises in the lagoon, snorkelling, and diving gear.

    “Great stay, great“ – March 2026

    We were there in November 2025. The facility is beautiful. The staff was very nice and helpful and fulfilled all our wishes. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Dinner was equally very good, a big praise to the kitchen. In the massage area you could relax very well. Last night was an event with local dancers, which we really liked. During our beach walks we got to know many bars and restaurants in the vicinity. We took a trip to the spice plantation and Stone Town, which was both very interesting

    “Paradise on Earth!! Go for it!“ – February 2026

    We absolutely loved EVERYTHING! The hotel is intimate with about fifteen rooms all distributed around the sublime swimming pool which overlooks the sea. It’s even better than in the photos!

    A major positive point is the staff, lovely and helpful. Our congratulations to the chef who offers excellent dishes, and I advise you to come to the Swahili diner – it’s an explosion of flavors in an incredible atmosphere with a magnificent show!

    On the recommendation of the receptionist, we walked to the new winery: Pango Kasa – a great cave where you can swim with the turtles and feed them. The dolphin and sandbar excursion was breathtaking – also excellent recommendation from the hotel person (instead of Mnemba, a 3-hour round trip). We also took a traditional boat trip right in front of the hotel with the gentleman who handles the coconuts – AMAZING!!!!

    The beach opposite the hotel is sublime: white sand, as fine as flour. Yes, there is Tides – all along this coast – you need to know about them, but that’s what makes the landscape come alive, seeing it evolve throughout the day!

    I highly recommend the massages, well done to the two girls. The best massage of my life!

    Since we got back, we haven’t stopped talking about this trip and especially this hotel; we can’t wait to go back!!

    “Exceptional” – February 2026

    Beautiful little barefoot hotel. Romantic…The staff is exceptionally friendly.The rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day. Water is served in glass bottles. There is also a glass bottle in the rooms that can be exchanged at any time. Anyone who travels through this beautiful country with their eyes open knows that plastic is a real problem. Therefore, a “thumbs up” for sustainability! We regularly enjoyed the massages. In the evening, the teenagers meet to play football on the beach. We really enjoyed it.

    “An Oasis of peace and relaxtion” –  March 2026

    My favorite place in Zanzibar. I have been a regular customer for several years and I can say with certainty that it is an oasis of peace and relaxation managed flawlessly. The menu is varied: delicious sandwiches, club sandwiches, T-Bone steak and desserts! The staff is very nice and welcoming. Definitely a place to come back and always come back!

    Really nice common areas, small room always with sand on the floor and very hard bed. Presence of a generator which also guarantees air conditioning. Food: I expected a little more. The sea was impassable during the days we were there, with a marked but suggestive tidal phenomenon. However, being by the pool really gave a relaxing feeling with the beautiful palm trees.

    Our stay at The Loop Beach Resort in Zanzibar was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel relaxed and at home right away.

    The resort is beautifully designed and perfectly located right on the beach, with breathtaking ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with stylish decor that perfectly matched the tropical surroundings.

    One of the highlights was the stunning beach and the incredible sunsets every evening. It was the perfect place to relax, swim, and enjoy the natural beauty of Zanzibar. The pool area was also fantastic and a great spot to unwind during the day.

    The restaurant served delicious food with plenty of variety, and every meal felt like a treat. The staff throughout the resort were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed.

    The Loop Beach Resort is truly a special place, combining beautiful scenery, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar and would gladly return in the future.

    The place was recommended by a friend of ours and we are happy we booked it. Zero regrets! The Loop is exactly the place where we wanted to be, peaceful, quiet, relaxing and full of hospitable staff. They are really nice and approachable, never fail to greet you or smile at you. Thank you to Iryne, who welcomed us and helped us in arranging tours. We customized it according to our liking. Makame who always make everyone smile and laugh. He is really nice and welcoming! To the servers, thank you, especially Salum, Zainthe, and Pamela! Veronica who assisted us to look for a place due to unforseen extended stay.. all of them are amazing!! Thank you guys 🫶
