The Loop, a beach front resort located right in the heart of Jambiani village, adjoins a fine white sand beach that extends north and south for kilometers. Our four room types make up a total of 18 contemporary, elegant rooms; with the Standard, Superior and Suite with Sea View rooms all featuring an outdoor veranda where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served upon request.
Jambiani offers that rare and gorgeous fine white coral sand. On a Zanzibar holiday, guests can use the low-tide hours for exploring or sun bathing, while high-tide provides the ultimate in kiteboarding, kayaking, sailing with catamarans or a boat trip out to snorkel the reef. You’ll stand in amazement of the Indian Ocean’s crystalline waters—an environment of refined simplicity and the quintessential tropical paradise.

The restaurant is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll enjoy an a la carte menu sprinkled with a range of cuisines—everything from Swahili and Italian to Middle Eastern dishes. Our ingredients are sourced locally with fresh sea food supplied everyday from local fishermen. The bar is designed and built with a blend of contemporary and recycled materials, an ideal place to start a day with breakfast, or to relax and socialize after a day at the beach or on the sea. Guests watch soccer, rugby or Formula 1 GP on satellite TV, or listen to music while tasting our local and international cocktails, beers, wine, and delicious tropical fruit juices.

Pool
The Loops pool, is situated in the middle of the property and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around – with plenty of sun loungers located around the pool. Order drinks at our bar and have our team bring a cold beverage to you whilst relaxing and looking out over the Indian Ocean.
Lounge
The lounge is a cozy space to escape to, situated under a large makuti roof and next to the bar and restaurant. The sofas are made of recycled pallets and the tables are made from old wooden electric rolls.
Water Sports
During a holiday at The Loop, guests can take up plenty of vigorous activities at our Water Sports Center, including kite surfing, sailing and wind surfing. We offer classes and the latest generation of equipment. Rent a variety of equipment: kayaks, catamarans for mini cruises in the lagoon, snorkelling, and diving gear.

This hotel is amazing. The swimming pool, the room, the services, the food, everythig was perfect. The staff is special, thank you to Monica, Mery, Balnaba, Mr Coconut and all the staff. The hotel is in front of the beach and it’s perfect for relaxing. We will come back soon!!!

Position right on the beach, fabulous views from our bed of the sea! Lovely staff, very happy and friendly, couldn’t do enough for you! They seem to have got everything right with the design of the rooms. Plenty of pegs to hang things on, lots of storage in the bathroom, ample electrical sockets, efficient air con, good shower, we loved having our own sunbeds. Amazing professional African show Saturday nights with delicious traditional bbq. Good breakfast. Lovely spacious pool area, with the rooms around the pool or facing the beach. Never crowded, so relaxing and many sunbeds around well spaced out. Quiet location with small choice of other restaurants but just a short taxi ride to Paje for a busier nightlife.

“Perfect place for relaxing days” – April 2024
Everything! The hotel is just beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and lovingly decorated. The whole area is well maintained and clean. The location right on the sea is unique and you can even hear the sound of the waves in the evening in the room. A perfect hotel to relax and let your mind wander. The breakfast is great. There is a small buffet with pancakes, pastries, fruits, juice and co.. and you can also order dishes from the menu (e.g. egg dishes, french toast, avocadotoast, ..). The staff should be emphasized. Everyone is without doubt attentive and helpful. I felt comfortable and welcome at all times. I have visited some hotels in Zanzibar. This was definitely one of the highlights. I even came back there at the end of my trip. Definitely not a last time.

We had a great time at this hotel. The staff very very attentive always in the desire to please. They are super dynamic and put atmosphere! The location and ocean view is just breathtaking. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast is top-notch. Excellent restaurant and chef! And all feet in the sand is great!

“Incredible small beach hotel with the best staff ever!”– March 2024
We had an incredible week at The Loop! The hotel really fulfills every wish of its guests. There is an incredibly great atmosphere, because the very best about this hotel is the staff!!! We are globetrotters and have seen many hotels around the world, we have never experienced such friendly and helpful staff. Always smiling, very hardworking, helpful and yet discreet. Thanks to all! It is very clean, the food and drinks are excellent, the location is fantastic. The rooms by the pool are beautiful. The beach is clean. Everything has been thought of! I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to switch off and relax!

“One of the loveliest stays I’ve ever had” – May 2024
One of the loveliest stays I’ve ever had. Stayed here for a few nights after a tiring volunteer trip for a short vacation. The staff was incredible and extremely welcoming, to name a few: Banaba, Monica and Moosa – always ensured we had a good time and we were comfortable throughout our stay. It’s right by the beach and the location is perfect. If you want to stay away from the busy Paje lifestyle but want to be close enough and head there during the day, this is the place. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we’ll be seeing everyone again!

“Well appointed, relaxing resort right on the beach with lovely staff” – March 2024
A beautiful resort, kind and fun staff, lovely ammenities and spacious rooms. The pool is a fantastic place to spend time and relax by. The breakfast is well done. I especially enjoyed the locally crafted additions to all areas including the recycled cement bag cushions, baskets etc the daily spray for mosquitos and turn down service was much appreciated as was the selection of pillows. The addition of a few universal power plug points was great. Drinks were delicious! This location was lovely and quiet but easy walking distance to some fantastic local restaurants which we recommend.
