The Loop Beach Resort

The Loop, a beach front resort located right in the heart of Jambiani village, adjoins a fine white sand beach that extends north and south for kilometers. Our four room types make up a total of 18 contemporary, elegant rooms; with the Standard, Superior and Suite with Sea View rooms all featuring an outdoor veranda where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served upon request.

Jambiani offers that rare and gorgeous fine white coral sand. On a Zanzibar holiday, guests can use the low-tide hours for exploring or sun bathing, while high-tide provides the ultimate in kiteboarding, kayaking, sailing with catamarans or a boat trip out to snorkel the reef. You’ll stand in amazement of the Indian Ocean’s crystalline waters—an environment of refined simplicity and the quintessential tropical paradise.

Beach Standard Room

Our eight Standard Rooms all feature outdoor verandas with chairs and a sofa that look out over the pool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is always available upon request. You’ll find the rooms are perfect for couples, each with a single king size bed and en-suite bathroom and a ceiling fan for added ventilation.

Beach Superior Room

Our six Beach Superior Rooms provide a larger floorspace than the Standard Rooms and include a king size bed with two sofa beds to accommodate up to four people. All feature outdoor verandas with chairs and a sofa that look out over the pool and where breakfast, lunch and dinner is available at your leisure.

Restaurant & Bar

The restaurant is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll enjoy an a la carte menu sprinkled with a range of cuisines—everything from Swahili and Italian to Middle Eastern dishes. Our ingredients are sourced locally with fresh sea food supplied everyday from local fishermen. The bar is designed and built with a blend of contemporary and recycled materials, an ideal place to start a day with breakfast, or to relax and socialize after a day at the beach or on the sea. Guests watch soccer, rugby or Formula 1 GP on satellite TV, or listen to music while tasting our local and international cocktails, beers, wine, and delicious tropical fruit juices.

Pool

The Loops pool, is situated in the middle of the property and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around – with plenty of sun loungers located around the pool. Order drinks at our bar and have our team bring a cold beverage to you whilst relaxing and looking out over the Indian Ocean.

Lounge

The lounge is a cozy space to escape to, situated under a large makuti roof and next to the bar and restaurant. The sofas are made of recycled pallets and the tables are made from old wooden electric rolls.

Water Sports

During a holiday at The Loop, guests can take up plenty of vigorous activities at our Water Sports Center, including kite surfing, sailing and wind surfing. We offer classes and the latest generation of equipment. Rent a variety of equipment: kayaks, catamarans for mini cruises in the lagoon, snorkelling, and diving gear.

    Everything was great, especially the staff. Mr. Barnaba; the kitchen, service and cleaning staff were incredibly attentive and meticulous.

    We would like to thank the kind service staff who prepared fresh ginger tea when my wife got a little sick on the last day before leaving the hotel. We could feel so at home even though we were miles away from home :)

    We also arranged the tours through the hotel and both of our tour experiences were great. The rooms were always clean and tidy. They also sprayed for flies every day.

    We will miss chatting with the staff every morning when we went for breakfast. We were sad to leave as if we were leaving our home. The hotel guests were also extremely positive and respectful. Everything was in harmony with the peaceful and calm atmosphere of the hotel.

    If we come again, we will definitely choose The Loop Beach Hotel.

    The space is perfect!
    Super clean, the staff of the best that exists.
    A sympathy and a magnificent service.
    On top of the beach with a super beautiful infinite pool.
    Simple and with a delicious decor, with every detail appropriate to the place.
    Breakfast quite complete and with diversity.
    Spray seats always available around the pool.
    Bottled water available at any time.
    Divine massages 😉
    Always available to help and whenever I asked for something, they were super efficient.
    Sick, they suggested a special beat with everything he needed!
    A special thanks to Suleiman, always very concerned and available with our well being.
    Returning to Zanzibar, I would again choose The Loop!!!

    An exceptional hotel due to its location (direct access to the beach), only by the always friendly and smiling staff. Special mention to Barnaba who welcomed us very well.

    The rooms are very clean, the breakfast very good and the restaurant also.

    The hotel is quiet as it is not a large complex. A very good address or come to rest after a safari.

    “Excellent Beach Front Location” – July 2025

    This was our 2nd visit, it was just as we remembered. The staff are all very friendly and excellent at their roles. Unfortunately I was ill during our visit and needed to attend hospital, Janeth was exceedingly helpful in arranging various things for me during my illness and would check daily on how i was health wise. She is a credit to The Loop Beach Resort. There is many restaurants / bars on the sea front only a few minutes walk away if you fancy a change from eating in The Loop, we plan on returning hopefully 2026.

    “We’ll be back.”– July 2025

    If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. We had a room with a sea view, which had a South Sea feel. The room itself was simple but clean and air-conditioned. The food was so unique, especially the fresh fish. The only thing that was a bit too hard for us was a topper, which quickly, though not ideal for us, was a solution. We’ll be back.
