The Loop Beach Resort

The Loop, a beach front resort located right in the heart of Jambiani village, adjoins a fine white sand beach that extends north and south for kilometers. Our four room types make up a total of 18 contemporary, elegant rooms; with the Standard, Superior and Suite with Sea View rooms all featuring an outdoor veranda where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served upon request.

Jambiani offers that rare and gorgeous fine white coral sand. On a Zanzibar holiday, guests can use the low-tide hours for exploring or sun bathing, while high-tide provides the ultimate in kiteboarding, kayaking, sailing with catamarans or a boat trip out to snorkel the reef. You’ll stand in amazement of the Indian Ocean’s crystalline waters—an environment of refined simplicity and the quintessential tropical paradise.

Beach Standard Room

Our eight Standard Rooms all feature outdoor verandas with chairs and a sofa that look out over the pool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is always available upon request. You’ll find the rooms are perfect for couples, each with a single king size bed and en-suite bathroom and a ceiling fan for added ventilation.

Beach Superior Room

Our six Beach Superior Rooms provide a larger floorspace than the Standard Rooms and include a king size bed with two sofa beds to accommodate up to four people. All feature outdoor verandas with chairs and a sofa that look out over the pool and where breakfast, lunch and dinner is available at your leisure.

Restaurant & Bar

The restaurant is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll enjoy an a la carte menu sprinkled with a range of cuisines—everything from Swahili and Italian to Middle Eastern dishes. Our ingredients are sourced locally with fresh sea food supplied everyday from local fishermen. The bar is designed and built with a blend of contemporary and recycled materials, an ideal place to start a day with breakfast, or to relax and socialize after a day at the beach or on the sea. Guests watch soccer, rugby or Formula 1 GP on satellite TV, or listen to music while tasting our local and international cocktails, beers, wine, and delicious tropical fruit juices.

Pool

The Loops pool, is situated in the middle of the property and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around – with plenty of sun loungers located around the pool. Order drinks at our bar and have our team bring a cold beverage to you whilst relaxing and looking out over the Indian Ocean.

Lounge

The lounge is a cozy space to escape to, situated under a large makuti roof and next to the bar and restaurant. The sofas are made of recycled pallets and the tables are made from old wooden electric rolls.

Water Sports

During a holiday at The Loop, guests can take up plenty of vigorous activities at our Water Sports Center, including kite surfing, sailing and wind surfing. We offer classes and the latest generation of equipment. Rent a variety of equipment: kayaks, catamarans for mini cruises in the lagoon, snorkelling, and diving gear.

    “An amazing place to stay on Jambiani Beach” –  February 2025

    Absolutely wonderful resort! The staff were exceptional nothing was too much trouble for them and they were all so friendly! The rooms were spacious and very clean. The mattresses are on the hard side but they do offer a topper for those who prefer a softer bed. The pool area was lovely and we loved the relaxing bar area . The vibe was super chilled, don’t think we wore shoes the whole time we were there! The staff arranged both our excursions, one to Jozani Forest and also a village tour which was one of the highlights of our stay! Meeting the local people and even visiting the local school and getting to chat to the children. The beach was great and very quiet, we walked most days and although you do get approached to buy things we never once felt pressurised or uncomfortable. Everyone was super friendly and happy just to chat with you. I’d definitely recommend The Loop if you’re thinking of visiting Jambiani

    “It’s a great atmosphere.”– January 2025

    We stayed from November 28th to December 08th. Great place to stay at Zanzibar. Everytime your feet are in the sand. There are only 18 rooms, perfect to feel on holidays (very quiet) and not overcrowded. The restaurant has a great view on the swimming-pool and the beautiful beach. The sea is over 30 degrees. Every morning staff from the hotel is cleaning the beach from seaweeds. It’s not made by all the other hotels around. They are doing everything for you in order that you feel good during your stay. We took breakfast, lunch and dinner included and we did not regret. We have tasted almost all the plates and it was incredible. We thank the chef and his team for this great service. Every thursday, they organize a swahili evening with swahili food and a show, don’t miss it. It’s a great atmosphere. We have tested a 1h massage for a couple which was perfect, thanks about it. We had a small inconvenience because the mattress was too hard for us, we kindly discussed about it with the manager and do not hesitate to ask because they can add a mattress topper which help to sleep better. It was directly added after we asked . Last but not least, our stay wouldn’t have been the same without all the team which is always smiling. THOUSAND OF THANKS to all of you for your hospitality. We have laughed a lot with all the servers, boys and girls. Especially with Salum and Yasin.

    Everything!!!!! The caring staff..I even got a birthday cake. !!!! Thank you team!!! The infinity pool with ocean view… the food… the calm and relaxed atmosphere… everything was perfect… certainly due to the fact that it is a human scale hotel.. more intimate.. we loved it and will return for sure !!!

    Everything was perfect, clean, smiles all day. Food was of very good quality, note the half formula very advantaged pension at 20$/ pers / day. It’s a no fault, the rooms are clean, the staff look after you and we have not been disturbed so much by the beachboys, maximum 1 to 2 times not a day. The hotel is absolutely quiet and we soon understand that the hotel is by far the best on the coast while strolling on the beach. Congratulations for this beautiful service and thank you for giving us a beautiful stay!

    “Exceptional” – January 2025

    The whole place was exceptional! The staff, the food, the room, the location, and our experience at The Loop was 10/10. The staff, from the cleaning girls, bar staff, reception, massage ladies, and the maintenance crew were all amazing, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. I am surprised this resort does not have a 5* rating! We cannot wait to visit again, and wish we could have stayed for longer. I would like to keep this place a secret as it was probably the best holiday we have had anywhere in the world, (and we have been all over!) but we enjoyed it so much we just have to say how great it was. Thanks to everyone from Joyce, Barnaba, Lucia, Olivia, Mona, and Makkame and everyone we have forgotten to mention, but we loved them all… I have not been paid to say these great things about The Loop….you just have to go and stay there to see that it’s all 100% true!      “Without a doubt, a memorable vacation!” – January 2025

    Paradise on earth! The Loop resort is exquisitely designed for relaxation and comfort. Clean, well-kept and very comfortable, perfect for spending a few days as a couple and disconnecting from the routine. It is located on one of the best beaches in Zanzibar, just a few steps from the shore. The area is sufficiently busy but far from the crowded beaches of other areas of the island. The bungalows are comfortable and functional. Customer service from waiters is 10. Cleaning is daily and perfect. The breakfast is AMAZING, varied and of very good quality. The pool is a spectacle and you probably won’t want to leave there. Without a doubt, a memorable vacation!
