Very nice and well-kept hotel in a stone town building, true to the layout and structure of the rooms to the original architecture. So for those who like to look for the atmosphere of something real and non-touristy is the perfect place, compared to more expensive and more ‘standard’ hotels. Clean, friendly staff, in the heart of Stone town a stone’s throw from the ocean, with a nice terrace for breakfast.

“An amazing place to stay on Jambiani Beach” – February 2025
Absolutely wonderful resort! The staff were exceptional nothing was too much trouble for them and they were all so friendly! The rooms were spacious and very clean. The mattresses are on the hard side but they do offer a topper for those who prefer a softer bed. The pool area was lovely and we loved the relaxing bar area . The vibe was super chilled, don’t think we wore shoes the whole time we were there! The staff arranged both our excursions, one to Jozani Forest and also a village tour which was one of the highlights of our stay! Meeting the local people and even visiting the local school and getting to chat to the children. The beach was great and very quiet, we walked most days and although you do get approached to buy things we never once felt pressurised or uncomfortable. Everyone was super friendly and happy just to chat with you. I’d definitely recommend The Loop if you’re thinking of visiting Jambiani

“EXTRAORDINARY !” – October 2024
An enchanted parenthesis! The service is impeccable, attentive, friendly and the management was very attentive to our requests. We were lucky to have them. It has a private swimming pool (20mx5m). EXTRAORDINARY ! Seen on the Indian Ocean. Direct access to the beach. I recommend without reservation. Small point of attention, the place is difficult to find if you are not in a taxi.

What a spoiling!! A beautifully appointed chalet with such attention to detail to make for a perfect stay. Excellent communication from our hosts.

“Coming home to a green oasis (& cats)” – January 2025
During our 4.5 weeks stay in Zanzibar we booked twice (first time 7, second time 6 nights) the 2-bedroom bungalow in the beautiful green oasis of Paola & Danielle (& their 7 cats 😻). We loved not only the privacy and comfort of the bungalow but it also always felt like coming home :). Although the East Coast of Zanzibar is facing regular power outages we never had an issue at Nyumbani due to their own generator. Nyumbani Residence is not only very well suited for a trip with friends but also families and couples. A big thanks goes out to the super warm and welcoming staff, too. We can’t wait to come back to escape the German winter again. Asante sana 💚! -

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and the friendliest staff who truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. 💕 Whether it was recommendations for the best spots in town or their quick service at any hour, they made every moment special. Margaret and her team are excellent. Douglas was also amazing.
The rooms? Immaculate and beautifully designed with stunning ocean views – waking up to the sound of waves was a dream! 🏖️ And don’t even get me started on the food – fresh, delicious, and so many options to choose from. 🍹🍤 the waiting staff are all brilliant Ismael was very good and was very warm and welcoming. The Chef Phil was excellent.
But what really stood out? The vibe! The hotel radiates fun and relaxation, perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers. 🏄♂️🎉 Whether you’re lounging by the pool, sipping cocktails on the beach, or joining them in the evening, there’s something for everyone.
I can’t recommend Fun Beach Hotel enough – if you’re planning your next holiday, this is the spot. Trust me, you won’t want to leave! 😍✨

We stayed in a nice, camping-style wooden house with a pool view. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for two people. Having a rental car made it easy to get around, and the location was excellent – safe and close to Paje for additional dining options. Breakfast was outstanding, and the resort features two amazing pools and a lovely beach. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

Wow, just wow! Elga and her incredible staff really created a little paradise on earth. They went above and beyond to make this our perfect getaway from the daily ratrace. We stayed in the garden suite which was just incredible, decorated beautifully and spacious. Since it’s a small boutique hotel you really have the idea that the villa is there solely for you, with a lot of privacy in the beautiful garden. We already want to go back! Tim & Nathalie
