A beach front hotel located in beautiful Jambiani village, Uzuri allows you to set up base and create your own Zanzibar adventure. Our pool is situated in the middle of the property and is perfect for swimming, cooling off and sun bathing around – with sun loungers located around the pool. Order drinks or snacks and have our team serve you whilst relaxing around the pool and taking in Uzuri’s lush tropical garden.

Absolutely stunning place to unwind in Zanzibar. Lovely pool, plenty of shade, peaceful, traditional decor, comfortable bed, delicious food and above all the sweetest staff who made us feel right at home (thanks so much Elga!) Air conditioning was nice to have but didn’t need too much as the fan did the job. On the beachfront but trees in between made it feel secluded. Dreaming of Zanzibar from rainy Dublin!

Absolutely amazing villa hotel. Staff is super friendly, rooms are large and very comfortable and well designed, the garden with the pool is luxury and you are only 20 meters away from the beach.

Summary: It was fantastic, highly recommended, and we want to come back.
We stayed here for a week at the end of our trip. The resort is small but perfectly formed. The rooms are beautifully designed and well-equipped. We had direct access to the terrace, garden, and pool. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Even when I had a minor accident, they took excellent care of me. The resort has direct beach access, so you can swim in the sea or take long walks on the beach (depending on the tide). In the evenings, there’s security keeping an eye on the beachgoers. We always felt very safe. The food was also excellent, and they promptly accommodated our individual requests.
As I said: we would love to come back again.

Everything was simply sensational! The staff are so warm and welcoming; you immediately feel at home. The room was incredible, and the food was delicious. Everything is very clean and quiet. You have plenty of privacy and can truly relax. The sea isn’t ideal for swimming due to the tides, but we knew that beforehand. We would have loved to stay longer!

“The best part of our Zanzibar trip!” – September 2025
We stayed in Stone Town, Jambiani, and Nungwi during our trip to Zanzibar, and the Uzuri in Jambiani was hands down the best part of the trip. Exceptional property, dreamy pool-facing room, and the proximity to the quiet and beautiful beaches of Jambiani made it the most relaxing and memorable part of the stay. Cherry on top is the personable owner who we loved hanging out with, the friendly staff, good food, and the hotel pets! We would urge our family and friends to stay at Uzuri and enjoy Jambiani!

“Complete disconnection” – January 2026
This was our second stay at UZURI. The place is still just as magical. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Here, you’ll find complete tranquillity and the sound of birdsong. The grounds and swimming pool are stunning. The beach is incredibly beautiful, with a magnificent sandbank at low tide.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Alpha for his smile and professionalism, and to young Kay, who also showered us with her kindness.
If you’re looking for a complete escape, UZURI is the place to be.

“Magnificent hotel by the ocean” – September 2025
Amazing relaxing stay, wonderful staff ! We spent 4 nights at this cozy and stunning boutique hotel (only 7 rooms). Elga the manager is simply amazing ! She and her staff made our stay just PERFECT, this place feels just like home ! She was very attentive and helpful in giving advice, suggested nice activities (we did 2 of them) and was always very caring, she even offered us some aloe vera treatment for our sunburn 🙏🏻
The swimming pool and sun beds are also perfect and you always find a spot ! The food is good and the massages so relaxing ! The whole staff is just so friendly and always takes good care of you ! THANK YOU SO MUCH ! We really can’t recommend this place enough and hope to be back with more friends/family ! So if you’re looking to spend some relaxing and calm days away from big hotels or crowds, this is the best ! There are also plenty of good small restaurants around and the white beach is gorgeous !
